I’m so excited to share a new series with you called “Ferne’s Finds”. Ferne’s Finds will feature beauty or style items I’ve recently found, or coffee shops and restaurants I’m finding that I want to share with you. This is a space for me to give my honest opinion about products and places. My plan is to incorporate posts like these into the blog about twice a month. If you have ideas on what you’d like to see me talk about for this series, feel free to let me know.
For this first post in Ferne’s Finds, I want to share with you my top 3 favorite perfumes. I’m the girl that walks into ULTA and has to stop and spritz herself with a new scent before proceeding to shop. I love perfumes and finding new scents. Different fragrances can bring you back to certain memories or remind you of experiences you’ve had. I think it’s good to own a variety of perfumes that offer different types of scents – each perfect for their own occasion. Also, if you are married like I am, I think it’s important that your spouse likes your scent… it sounds silly, but it’s true. I try to drag Sean into the perfume section and make him smell the one’s I like in hopes of winning his approval – sometimes it works, and other times he ditches me for the food court.
Here’s my top 3 perfume picks:
- Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette – This takes the cake as my all time favorite perfume. Daisy is the perfect combination of fresh and feminine, its a scent that lasts all day long, and the packaging is also super cute! I always get compliments when I wear Daisy, yet it’s not a scent that’s over powering or too strong. I’ll definitely continue to re-purchase this one!
- Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black – I always find myself gravitating towards this fragrance on a date night or special occasion. When I smell it, I pick up on notes of musk and vanilla. This scent is the perfect balance between a masculine, woodsy scent and a very sophisticated feminine scent. I love it!
- Estee´Lauder Pleasures – This perfume could easily be coined as my effortless, everyday scent. What I love about this one is the ease of knowing is basically goes with everything and isn’t overpowering. According to Estee´Lauder’s website, it has notes of “lilies, white peonies, jasmine, and baie rose”, and feels very “light”. I see this as being a clean, neutral scent that almost anyone would love. It also lasts all day, so over I think it’s worth the price tag!
