I’m so thankful for the company that I work for. As an organization, we hit a financial goal that was set for us and we were rewarded with an all expenses paid 3-day vacation to the big island of Hawaii. (not too shabby!) Traveling to Hawaii knowing that our flights, hotel, and food were covered made the trip even more enjoyable and less stressful. Sean and I loved getting to meet all of my coworkers’ significant others, and just having the chance to get to know people better. We stayed at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, and absolutely loved it! The last photo in this post is the view from our room. It wasn’t too crowded while we were there, which meant we always were able to reserve a cabana on the beach, or grab some chairs by the pool.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was watching the sunrise and the sunset. We woke up early every morning and stayed up late, making the most of every second in that tropical paradise. I love the quiet of the morning, watching the sun peak through the clouds and hearing only the waves crash against the rocks. The evening sunsets were also just as beautiful. It’s amazing to see the sky transform in vibrant colors. It’s picture perfect!
I wore this floral romper to dinner one night. I’m a huge fan of floral prints for spring, and especially in this color combo. Navy and a very light pink were actually our wedding colors (I think I’m always drawn to pairing them together). I love the ruffles and tassel detail on the shorts too, it gives this look a more feminine touch. There was a cooler breeze in the evening, so it was really nice to wear something with long sleeves. Also, my arms got a bit sunburnt, so this was just what I needed to protect my skin.
I’m pretty exhausted and jetlag from traveling + the time change. Thank goodness for coffee! I hope you are all having a great week so far!
