On Sunday Sean and I visited the Montrose farmer’s market. It was such a treat to casually stroll through the main street, sampling locally grown fruits, vegetables and homemade greek yogurt (you have to try the black berry one!). I also loved all of the fresh loaves of bread, so good!
After this experience, Sean and I decided we need to become farmer’s market regulars. I think what I appreciated the most was the very evident community. It was lovely to see people recognize and remember each other, as if they see each other every Sunday morning. It didn’t feel like a group of strangers. Living in a busy city, it’s easy to miss those moments and become so accustomed to going unnoticed.
A few of our must buy items:
- Bread – so fresh, and they have just about every type of bread you can think of
- Berries – perfectly sweet
- Blooms – because who doesn’t love flowers?!
