Wearing all of one color makes getting dressed in the morning as easy as pie!
Call me lazy, but monochromatic looks are seriously so easy to pull off and they require pretty little effort. That sounds like a win to me! I love lighter colors during the summer and darker during the winter. All white is one of my favorite summer looks.
I’ve been wearing this lace blouse from Nordstrom non-stop this summer. I took it with me to Europe (you might recognize it from some of my London photos) and it’s been on repeat for date nights as well. The sleeves are really gorgeous – I love the ruffles! I’m wearing a thin tank top underneath that is also from Nordstrom. Technically my blouse is actually a little off-white, but I think it complements my sand colored mules from Steve Madden.
I actually can’t believe this is the first time my mules have made it on the blog. It’s kind of shocking to be honest! I wear these SO much. They go with pretty much everything and the heel is low enough where you could do a good amount of walking and be fine. These mules have been a way I’ve dressed up casual denim – such as my J.CREW vintage crop jeans that I mentioned in my last post.
The white jeans I’m wearing are Articles of Society (in the carly skinny crop). They’re incredibly stretchy (they’re my eat pizza and ice-cream pants), and I’m loving the one knee rip. It’s not too much. The raw hem at the ankles is great – I will say the ends have frayed a little and I’ve had to trim the hem slightly so it doesn’t get out of hand. It may just be the quality of the material, or maybe I washed it wrong!
A little life update: My mother-in-law and brother-in-law are coming to stay with us this week! 🙂 I’m so excited to hang out with them! Sean’s brother is starting college very soon, so we’ll be helping him get situated in the dorms. Pray that it’s not like 100 degrees out! I’m sure it will be a blast! How has it been almost 4 years since I graduated college?! Perhaps I’ll do a blog post on things I’ve learned in this post grad season of life…. time goes by so fast and genuinely sometimes I miss those college days. Real life can be tough and “adulting” isn’t always my favorite. I’m so thankful that I love my job and I love the company I work for. It makes all the difference!
